University of Kota Admission 2023 Updates: CMAT 2023 registration is going on.
The University of Kota was founded in 2003 by the Rajasthan government under the University of Kota Act, 2003. UOK is an Indian public university located in Kota, Rajasthan. The university was granted recognition by the UGC under section 2(f) in 2003 and section 12(b) in 2012. More than 180 colleges are affiliated to Kota University.
The University of Kota courses are offered at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. There are also several research opportunities. UOK Kota courses include over 200 programmes in ten undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral streams. The main campus has five faculties such as the faculty of Sciences, the Faculty of Social Sciences, the Faculty of Commerce and Management, the Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Law.
University of Kota admission is available for Engineering and architecture, art, humanities and social sciences, commerce, computer application and IT, sciences, law, and education fields.
The UOK campus covers 1019.38 acres and is home to several schools and facilities. There are roughly 2,30,000 students enrolled in over 180 institutions affiliated to Kota University in Rajasthan's six districts of Kota, Bundi, Jhalawar, Baran, Karauli, and Sawai Madhopur.
At UOK, there are more than 42+ courses to choose from in 10 academic disciplines. The UOK is a central university, which means that its fee structure is lower than those of other universities, allowing students from low-income families to attend. The UOK tuition fees vary as per the course/specialisation the student is planning to pursue. The UOK admission 2023 is based on the academic records of the student and not on a quota system. The university publishes its merit list on its official website. Admission is completely dependent on the merit list. Registration to join MBA courses at the UOK will start tentatively in June 2023. Some entrance exams are also accepted for UOK admissions. The UOK application process is entirely online. UOK selection criteria vary for each course, as do the selection criteria for individual courses. The MBA application process at the University of Kota generally takes place in March each year with the publication of the application form. Candidates who want to apply to the University of Kota must undertake the following steps:
UOK has connections with various institutions and organisations, including think tanks, academic institutions, PSUs, and the business sectors. To bring recruiters and students together under one roof, the UOK placement cell organises workshops, seminars, placement camps, guest lectures, and trade fairs.
University of Kota placement cell provides its students with suitable and substantial employment options. UOK Rajasthan placement cell organises a variety of initiatives to help students improve their employability. In addition, it works to place all students looking for work in reputable government and non-government organisations and other organisations. In the table below, you'll find information on the number of recruiters, offers, pay packages, and other details related to the UOK placements.
Besides job offers, students are offered internship opportunities by different organisations and companies. After the successful completion of internships, some students get job offers.
University of Kota admission depends on the University of Kota cut off. Different entrance exams are accepted for UOK admissions. The cut off is based on the results of these entrance exams. Admissions to MBA, M.Tech, and MCA programmes are done on the basis of entrance exams CMAT, GATE, and RMCAAP. For some other courses, UOK conducts its own entrance exam. Students applying to UOK Rajasthan should know about the scores and ranks they need to get into the university programmes. The UOK NIRF ranking shows its academic superiority. University of Kota is ranked 78 in NIRF 2022 university ranking. UOK NIRF Ranking 2021, University of Kota is ranked in the University and Overall Category. In addition, the NIRF has continuously assigned UOK a 365 ranking. In the QS World University Rankings, the UOK Rajasthan has been recognised as one of the few Indian universities.
On the UOK campus, facilities like free Wi-Fi. labs, classrooms, a canteen, and a department library are all available, as well as an excellent central library. Volleyball, table tennis, kabaddi, and other indoor activities may all be played at the indoor stadium. Facilities for working out may be found throughout the neighbourhood. Work is underway on a hostel, although it isn't ready yet.
Hostel: In the UOK hostel, students will have access to a huge dining hall and plenty of room to spread out. Every one of the university's seventeen dorms has its own in-house wardens and a faculty member who oversees its recreational amenities, which include TVs, fitness clubs, indoor games, and PCOs. Admission to UOK Rajasthan does not guarantee a room in the university's hostels, which have a restricted number of beds. Applicants at UOK Rajasthan can choose from a variety of options when it comes to on-campus housing. For married students, for example, there is a separate dormitory. Both girls and boys can stay in one of two hostels.
Gym: There is a university gym on the UOK Kota Rajasthan campus. This university-owned gym is available to all students to stay healthy and in shape. A wide variety of exercise and training equipment may be found at the gym. Using the gym helps students maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Sports: Outdoor and indoor gaming facilities, including basketball, badminton, tennis, cricket, and football fields, are available to students at the UOK Rajasthan campus for their enjoyment. There is also a running track on site. Other sports include weightlifting, taekwondo, hiking, and climber training at the university.
Cafeteria: University cafeteria amenities include Chinese, Indian, and South Indian food, all of which are air-conditioned. On-campus coffee and snack options include a second split cafeteria.
Auditoriums and Lecture Halls: There are two auditoriums, three lecture halls, one committee hall, one committee room, and one training room at the University of Kota Convention Centre, all of which were built in 2010. Uses include presentations at academic conferences and seminars and slide and film exhibitions.
Health Centre: University of Kota's Health Centre, which opened in 2003, aims to provide complete health care, including preventative, curative, and promotional services, to students alone. This dispensary is available to university employees, however, as well.
The university's labs, libraries, dormitories, auditoriums, seminar rooms, and guest homes are equipped with high-speed wifi. Teachers, students, and support staff on campus may now readily access data, voice, multimedia, and video conferencing services, as well as research and e-learning tools, thanks to the implementation of next-generation wireless technology in the campus' wifi networks.
IT Infrastructure: The University of Kota has built up facilities for all students, project workers, and teachers to access in-house E-mail, computers, and internet services. Students at the university can access a wide range of e-services, including those related to research, computing, and graphics, via this unit.
Labs: Air-conditioned and equipped with different sophisticated instruments in many subjects, the UOK Rajasthan's labs are the best in the state. More than 40 pupils can conduct their experiments concurrently in these high-tech facilities. UV spectrophotometer, Double beam measurement, Magnetic stirrer, Multi-parameter: 6 parameters, namely pH, TDS, ORP, Salinity Temp, millivolt, Hot air oven, Digital oven, Rotary flask shaker UV transilluminator, Dual Orbitex shaker with compressor, and many others are available.
Guest Houses: In all, there are three to four guest homes on the UOK Rajasthan campus, all of which cater to university workshops, seminars, symposiums, conferences, and training programme attendees – both official and unofficial – hosted by the university, its centres, and departments, or those supported by the UGC.
Bank: Besides an SBI branch and ATMs, the University of Kota has several financial amenities.
Library: The National School of Drama Library of the University of Kota Rajasthan is one of India's most specialised libraries in theatre and drama, with as many libraries as there are schools and centres within the university. As a part of the DELNET library network, which connects libraries in and around Kota, the University of Kota Library has access to networked catalogues and interlibrary loans.
Cell for Differently Able People: The university has established a cell for differently-abled persons to protect the interests of differently-abled people per their needs. In all cases, adequate ramp facilities have been implemented.
The state government of Rajasthan offers scholarships to help students further their education . Many kinds of scholarship programmes are available to individuals who want to continue their education. To help students, the Indian government offers a stipend and other benefits to those from backward castes like the SC, BC, St. OBC, and other minorities. The class 12 percentile of your academic and extracurricular achievements is considered while awarding students a scholarship. Scholarships from the Council for Minority Education (CM) or from the states are available to students. UOK scholarships of up to Rs 15,000 per year were awarded to the students. People with physical disabilities can also apply for scholarships through the institution.
